Founded in fall of 2016 by the four partner schools Northeastern, Emerson, Boston University, and MIT, InnovateEDU is the first student-run organization focused on bridging different entrepreneurship programs from colleges and universities in the Boston area. In a semester-long timeframe, student teams from these partner schools create a business concept & develop a business plan, all while being exposed to entrepreneurial opportunities at each school and within Boston.
InnovateEDU capitalizes on the mecca of student entrepreneurship that exists in Boston. Boston University, Emerson College, MIT, and Northeastern are partnering up to maximize resources and support students as they work to compete in a business plan competition. A team of 5 students from each school will develop a business idea and a medium-sized business plan around that idea, and then pitch their business on stage against the other 3 respective schools
InnovateEDU is bursting the campus bubble and does not plan on stopping. The program aims to further its reach each semester by increasing the number of participating campuses, hosting more events and providing valuable resources to student entrepreneurs. The goal is to leave the students involved with innovateEDU eager to keep building and the Boston community excited about the talent that exists.
